Rapport

Terms of service

Effective 20 September 2026.

Rapport is operated by Iluvatar LLC, a Nevada limited liability company (“we”). By creating an account or joining a group, you agree to these terms. They are written for people rather than for court, and are short enough to read; where they leave a question open, email [email protected] and we will answer it.

What the service does

Rapport keeps a shared picture for each group you are in — facts, notes, documents and the Kitchen — and lets your own AI read and write it through a connector. We do not provide the AI. You bring your own Claude, ChatGPT or other client, under your own subscription with them, and their terms govern what they do with what they read. A change on their side that stops custom connectors working is not something we can fix.

Your account

You must be at least 13 to have an account and at least 18 to pay for one. Keep your sign-in secure: anyone who can sign in as you can read everything you can read, including your private things. You are responsible for what is done through your account, including what an AI client you connected does — it acts with your permissions, and you can revoke it at any time from your account page.

Groups, and what you put in one

  • Whoever creates a group owns it. An owner can invite people, and anyone holding a live invite link can join, so treat an invite link as the key it is.
  • What you put into a group is readable by every member of that group. Do not put something in a group you would not want every member to have. If you want it kept to yourself, save it privately — that is what private means here, and we enforce it.
  • You can leave a group from the bottom of its page or from your account page. The documents you contributed stay with the group, because the group is still working on them — your name comes off the history and the text stays. Your memories and notes go with you. If you are the only owner and other people are still in it, hand it over first; the same screen offers that. When the last member leaves, the group and everything in it is deleted.
  • You keep whatever rights you already had in what you write. You give us permission to store it, show it to the other members of the group, and return it to a client you have authorised — which is simply the service working — and to nothing else.
  • Children can be named in a group without an account. Only name a child you are responsible for.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use Rapport to store someone else’s personal information without their knowledge.
  • Do not use it to harass, track or monitor anyone, including a member of your own group.
  • Do not break into, overload, or work around the limits of the service.
  • Do not resell access, or run someone else’s product on top of our connector.
  • Do not use it for anything unlawful.

We may suspend an account or a group that is being used this way, and we will say why unless the situation does not allow it.

Plans and billing

  • Free is two members, the Kitchen, and 30 days of activity and history. It needs no card. Paid is $8 a month or $72 a year, per group, for unlimited members, every module and the full history.
  • The group owner pays, through Stripe, in advance, and the subscription renews until it is cancelled. Prices exclude any tax we are required to collect, which Stripe adds at checkout.
  • Cancel at any time from the billing portal. The group stays paid to the end of the period already paid for and then returns to the free tier, where the older history stops being shown rather than being deleted. We do not refund part of a month.
  • If we change a price, we give at least 30 days’ notice by email, and it applies from the next renewal after that notice.
  • Billing is not open yet. Until it is, every group is on the free tier and nothing is charged.

Availability

There is no availability commitment on either plan today. We run one server and we say so rather than publishing a number we have not earned; if that changes, this page changes with it. Your data is backed up hourly, and Download my data on your account page gives you your own copy whenever you want one. Do not use Rapport as the only copy of something you cannot lose.

Your data

What we store, who processes it, how long it is kept and how to get it out is in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.

Changes to the service

We add things without notice. Before a change that materially reduces what you get — a module removed, a lower limit on a plan you pay for — we give at least 30 days’ notice by email. If we ever shut the service down, we give at least 90 days’ notice, a way to export everything, and a refund of any paid period beyond the shutdown date.

Ending the agreement

You may close your account at any time from your account page: Delete everything, then type DELETE. It happens at once, and the privacy policy describes exactly what goes and what stays. Cancel any paid subscription from the billing portal first — we will not delete an account that is still on a plan, because Stripe would keep charging it. We may close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you what the problem is unless the situation does not allow it.

Warranty and liability

The service is provided as is, and we make no warranty about it — in particular, not that it will be available, that what an AI writes into your group is correct, or that a connection to an outside service will keep working. What your AI puts in Rapport is its output, not our statement, and decisions you take from it are yours.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for anything arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $50 if you paid us nothing. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

The rest

  • These terms are governed by the law of Nevada, USA, and its courts.
  • If we change these terms in a way that matters, we email account owners at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that is acceptance.
  • If a part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • Questions, notices and anything formal: Iluvatar LLC, by email at [email protected].
